Recently, Duan Zhong, Secretary of the Shenzhen Emerging Strategic Joint Party Committee and President of the Shenzhen Association for the Development of Science and Technology Information, led a team to visit Mingxi Electronics Co., Ltd. for inspection and exchange. They were warmly received by Chairman Dai Bo, and both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on how enterprises can carry out technological innovation and industrial upgrading, promoting the development of new energy storage technologies.

 

 

Chairman Dai Bo provided a detailed introduction to the development of the enterprise: During his previous work at a Japanese automotive electronics factory, he discovered the supercapacitor, a new type of energy storage component, and was attracted by its characteristics and sustainable development prospects. He began to review related papers worldwide and learn its principles; at the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey, he collaborated with Japan, South Korea, and Israel to introduce supercapacitor products for domestic promotion, further studying the principles, structures, and processes of the products, while establishing a laboratory in Shenzhen and purchasing the most advanced testing equipment available at that time. After more than a decade of research and development, nearly all profits from foreign agency trade were invested in R&D, exploration of new processes, equipment improvement, and talent exchange, merging factories and acquiring around forty to fifty related patents and some invention patents, and building several automated production lines, achieving initial results.

Supercapacitors, also known as electrochemical capacitors, double-layer capacitors, gold capacitors, or farad capacitors, are electrochemical components that store energy through the polarization of electrolytes. Unlike traditional chemical power sources, they are a type of power source that lies between traditional capacitors and batteries, possessing special properties, primarily relying on double-layer and redox pseudocapacitance to store electrical energy. However, no chemical reactions occur during the energy storage process, making this process reversible, which is why supercapacitors can be charged and discharged hundreds of thousands of times. Their advantages include:

1. Achieving farad-level capacitance in a very small volume;

2. No need for special charging circuits and discharge control circuits;

3. Unlike batteries, overcharging and over-discharging do not negatively impact their lifespan;

4. From an environmental perspective, it is a green energy source;

5. Supercapacitors can be soldered, thus avoiding issues like poor contact found in batteries.

Chairman Dai Bo and his team have mastered the entire process from product design, process design, equipment improvement, production line model design, to flexible matching solutions for product applications, holding dozens of patents and passing the ISO9000 standard management system certification. They have also independently developed an assembly model that avoids chemical harm to the human body. Additionally, they have an independent production line to provide customers with module production that matches capacity and voltage, better aligning with the flexible development and model changes of customer terminal products.

Currently, the company can produce thirty different models, with an annual output value reaching 200-300 million yuan depending on the model. This is just the first phase of investment, and subsequent phases will focus on the second phase of RTC backup power supercapacitors; the third phase of high-power, intelligent supercapacitor functional products; and the fourth phase of research on capacitor base materials, aiming at the technological frontier, guided by market feedback, and conducting forward-looking R&D in line with market application needs.

Product applications focus on establishing benchmark customers in different industries, such as the century-old American brand KOLER bathroom products, automotive electronics industry collaborations with design companies entering GAC Toyota, applications in French PARROT drones, infrared aiming power supplies, etc.; ETC sensing power compensation, driving power compensation for traffic systems, motor drives, low-temperature starts for military equipment, wireless IoT devices, 5G base stations, backup batteries for data transmission in autonomous driving, GPS/Beidou navigation for various smart electronic devices, data transmission power supplies for smart grids, applications in smart three meters, industrial control, etc. It can almost exist in any electronic industry product as a highly safe and reliable battery that requires no maintenance for life.

The company is fully prepared, and based on over a decade of R&D and production readiness, it is targeting various application markets and growing at an annual sales growth rate of about three times! The company is also promoting a sales team of about 50 people to delve into application development, market expansion, and pre-sales and after-sales services in every industry.

 

 

After listening to Chairman Dai Bo's report and visiting the factory, President Duan Zhong fully affirmed the achievements of Mingxi Electronics since its inception and provided several suggestions regarding the current situation of the enterprise: 1. The enterprise should expand its market, as the market is the lifeblood of the enterprise. It should rely on research institutes to hold more discussions and exchanges for project docking, expand the enterprise's pathways, and seek new business opportunities in information, integration, and innovation industries, seizing the large market and finding new pathways; 2. It should lead in technology, focus on technological innovation, aim at international frontiers and domestic gaps, implement the important speech spirit of President Xi at the two academies' academician meeting, accelerate the breakthrough of key "bottleneck" technologies in important fields, and firmly grasp the initiative of innovative development; 3. It should establish grassroots party organizations, strengthen corporate party building work, establish party branches, follow the party, listen to the party, strengthen the "four consciousnesses", firm up the "four confidences", and achieve the "two safeguards", fully exerting the role of the party organization as a battle fortress and the exemplary role of party members.

Chairman Dai Bo expressed his gratitude to President Duan and his team for their help and guidance to the enterprise, stating that he would actively align with the party organization, strive to become a Communist Party member, and lead all employees of the company to continuously explore new pathways for development while ensuring the quality of existing products.
